For today's Serie A games, I have a couple of small plays...

AC Parma -0.5 @-105 2 units

The reasoning behind this bet is not exactly Parma's game or standings (as they are both horrible) but that Messina is even more pathetic... They still have not won a game, and last sunday, at home, they had a 1-0 lead against lowly 10 men Ascoli, and they let in a 90th minute equalizer... To make it worse, the only good player striker Ricardo Zampagna, is not playing today, so I think Parma should win today to give Real Madrid president and new Parma owner Florentino Perez his first win.

Milan/Empoli OVER 2.5 goals @+180 1 unit

I just see this bet as good value, that is why I am betting 1 unit, I know Schevchenko is probably not playing, but still, Milan has plenty of firepower with Fillipo Inzaghi closing in to top form, and Christian Vieri, not to mention MF Kaka, who is also a big scoring threat... Empoli themselves are in great form lately, and I don't know why this game could not go over the total...

Cagliari/Livorno UNDER 2.5 goals @-125 1 Unit

This game makes sense to me since Cagliari, at home this season, has scored just 2 goals, and allowed just 4, in 4 games.... Also, they have not yet won this season, which will make them go all out for the win... They need this one so bad that they will not intend to score lots of goals, just one more than Livorno for the win... Livorno besides the 0-5 drubbing they got from Inter Milan, were one of the best defenses in the league... Last year they played to a 0-0 stalemate, I will conform with either a Cagliari 1-0 win, or a 1-1 tie... =)

Thanks for bringing this up. I use similar reasoning when I cap soccer. I think I'll get back into the Serie A league. I had done some last year but just was too busy this year with EPL, France Ligue 1, WCQ and CL.

I just read that Messina was kicked out of Serie A because of finances and then allowed back in on a reprieve. Add to the fact that Messina defenseman Marco Zanchi failed his drug test and you just have a mess with that squad.

Hey man, I ve seen you've been doing quite good in Ligue 1 and CL... For me, I've not been doing good at all, only in UEFA Cup and CL, I think its easier to cap those games, but I have been checking lots of info on Serie A, also trying to watch most games, to see if I can get some winners...

thx and GL to you, hope to cash some today...

By the way, upped my Cagliari/Livorno UNDER bet to 2 units...

Well, good wins with the OVER in Milan/Empoli, as I predicted, too much firepower from Milan, though Empoli is playing pretty good, they had them pressured for a good portion of the 1st half... As well as the Cagliari/Livorno game, very close in the end, but pulled it off... As for Parma, well, they're not playing good, had a couple of chances to go 2-0, wasted them, then allowed a late goal.... Overall, a good day, gave me lots of info for future bets...

Recap:

AC Parma: -2.1 units

Empoli/AC Milan OVER 2.5 goals: +1.8 units

Cagliari/Livorno UNDER 2.5 goals: +2 Units

Total for today: 2-1, +1.7 units

OVERALL RECORD: 2-2, +0.7 Units

I still think your Parma bet was the right choice. Especially seeing that they had so many chances.

Nicely done on the other matches.
